SENIOR PROTRAIT OUTFITS

Senior portraits can be one of the most exciting parts for a teen in their last school year. Long gone are the days of just a simple cap and gown photo. Today, it is more like a photo shoot which is so much more fun! It can be a little hard to figure out what to wear and how many looks to take on location. So here are a few tips for any Senior on their big photo shoot day! First of all, try not to take your whole closet. I know it's hard, but if you can narrow it down to 5 or 6 different looks, it will make the day a great deal easier on you and your photographer.    Try on your outfits with shoes and accessories and be sure to have someone snap a photo. If it looks good on a phone pic, just imagine what it will look like in a professional photo. Make sure that your accessories, shoes, and articles of clothing can mix and match together. That way when you are on location and aren't feeling that necklace you brought to go with your favorite dress, you will have options. I've created five different looks to give you inspiration while choosing your outfits. Have fun on your big photo shoot day!

PERFECT FALL OUTFITS

Fall is an amzing time of year to show off your personal style. But the weather can be a little unpredictable. So I created four looks that will be perfect for those light breezy fall days and also could be layered if winter comes early.   Look one is a perfect party/date night look. I paired a full circle tulle skirt with a soft off shoulder sweater. The skirt has all the drama and by choosing a neutral color top it keeps the look balanced. I finished with teardrop earrings, black open toe booties and studded clutch to give the outfit a little more edginess. Add a black leather jacket to keep cool at night. Look 2 is the perfect fall outfit and easy to recreate. Start with choosing a netural tone sweater, your favorite skinny jeans and up-to-the-knee boots. Accessorize with jewelry and a bag in the same neutral tone, gold or silver. This outfit will be your fall uniform that will always make you look and feel great. Add a double breasted coat for the cold winter days. Look 3 is perfect office attire. I chose to let the accessories make the statement with this look. The high waisted pant and simple white long sleeve shirt get a modern vibe when paired with a structured bib necklace, marble printed leather clutch and T-strap pumps in oxblood . Add a white wool belted coat to stay warm when you aren't in the office Look 4 is perfect for any occasion. The sweater dress is a staple piece to have in your closet that can be dressed up or down. For this look, I chose a pair of fabulous studded riding boots, gold accessories and an animal print bag to show just a little bit of my wild side. You could add a rain proof trench coa t for that fall rainy day.    Have fun creating looks this fall and don't forget to show off your own personal style!!

BOLD PRINTS

Bold Prints are a huge trend everywhere, from statement dresses to workout gear. These prints will always be noticed and that can be a little intimidating to wear. So here are a few of my tips for wearing and mixing bold prints.

Bold Prints are a huge trend everywhere, from statement dresses to workout gear. These prints will always be noticed and that can be a little intimidating to wear. So here are a few of my tips for wearing and mixing bold prints.

When wearing one bold print, like this statement dress , keep the accessories simple. A few stackable bracelets or rings will add enough sparkle.  If the print is monochromatic add a pop of color with a clutch and finish the look with a structured heel. This look is powerful, bold and great for the office.

When mixing prints start by picking a bold and a neutral print. In this look my bold is the floral tux jacket and my accent is the simple stripe midi skirt . I chose these patterns because they are different in scale, meaning one print is larger than the other, and because they share a similar color palette. I separated the prints with a solid color crop tank to make the look more cohesive.  I finished with accessories in neutral tones from both prints using nude for the statement necklace and clutch and black for the heels.  Have fun mixing, and wear what makes you feel good!
